Over the last weekend, Bollynatyam (represented by Sangita Shresthova) had the opportunity to attend and participate in the International Conference on Shah Rukh Khan and Global Bollywood in Vienna, Austria. This event, the first of it's kind in the Central European region felt like a very important event. Not only was it an event (read about the Times of India coverage here) where the current trends of Bollywood in Europe were discussed and digested, it was a also a fascinating opportunity to peek and critically inquire into Shah Rukh Khan's stunning global mega star status. As outlined in programme abstract, Sangita's presentation began to probe Bollywood Dance as a popular live performance phenomenon in the Czech Republic.
The organizers deserve a huge note of gratitude for their hard work and amazing dedication to making the conference such an open, inclusive and flawlessly organized event.
