Bollynatyam™ and Bollywood/Bhangra at Los Angeles Music Center

It was a warm evening and downtown Los Angeles was happening. On the Music Center plaza next to the fountains, approximately 450 people stepped and skipped to the beat of the Texas Two-Step. This was all part of the Music Center's Dance Downtown free dance summer program.

Then at 9pm, the mood changed as Bollywood/Bhangra took center stage in a preview lesson. Suddenly the plaza came alive with swings, jumps, and facial expressions all set to a contagious Bhangra beat. So much fun. Such a great and diverse crowd. And everyone was willing to give Bollywood/Bhangra their best good humour.


This was an experience that Bollynatyam will not forget for a long time.
